Andy Huth owner of his own private studio was one of the very people who introduced me to photography and pushed me to strive and to be top of my class. He made sure I grasped and understood the concepts of lighting, camera manipulation, software and application navigation and the user interface that made everything run smoothly and up to par. Andy is great at making graphic illustrations and photo manipulations within Adobe Photoshop. Andy is known for his wedding and event photography and his studio headshots. Andy has a steady hand and has tons of nifty tricks up his old sleeves to make his photos unique and special. Andy is good with model placement and post production editing and his work shows it.

A well known photographer I interned with in 2017-2019 is Heather Lasky, proud owner of Brunette Black & White Photography. Over the past 3 years I have personally gotten to know the back story behind Heather. She pursued her passion in college as a pharmacy technician and did wonders with that until her hobby of self taught photography became more of a passion and obsession. She went through great depths to learn what it took and how to make a name for yourself. Heather now runs her own photography business, her brother has a joint videography and drone footage business together I had the opportunity to work on both ends of the businesses and make a spring promo video to promote both companies with each of them. Heather does amazing portraits of individual subjects, families, holiday full and mini sessions, and has always been a women’s right advocate and really views equality differences as an issue and took a stand and has done boudoir shoots for self love, respect, and girl power. She really has let everything that has ever held her back break out and go off the chain. Her talent goes far beyond the camera but goes to make a bond and strong connection with each and everyone of her clients. Her work really does show its more than just the click of a button.

This photographer is a well known amateur really making a name for herself back in the capital district. Macayla Razanno is a talented individual who is only 20 years old and is extremely talented with a camera no matter what you give her and where you place her. Macayla is abundantly creative and can capture a priceless memory in the matter of seconds. Macayla is gifted with the knowledge and comprehension of prime lenses and the utilization of light within a DSLR she can effortlessly manipulate camera light intake to really wow a client or individual with a bokeh effect, drawing with light, long exposure, and incredible depth when it comes to f/stop. She shoots Canon and has an amazing eye for color accuracy and placement. Hello Everyone. My name is Alex Montanye, im a senior in the GMMD program. I am 20 years old, work remotely full time for a company called T-Base Communications reflowing LargePrint textbooks for companies like McGraw-Hill, Pearson, and NYS Education. Some photographers I have looked researched are Canadian Photographer Luke Gram, an experienced photographer and photo editor/manipulator who creatively styles double exposure images to create an amazing visual graphics with astonishing color, contrast, and layout. I contacted Luke back in 2017 while doing a research paper on him and his style for a senior thesis for my college level photography course I completed in high school. Another photographer I have done research on is Macayla Razzano, I’ve had the pleasure of working and shooting with her for roughly 2 years and working alongside her has given me a strong understanding of studio photography with understanding the concepts of lighting techniques, equipment (sot boxes, strobes, continuous lighting) along with this I expanded my knowledge within Adobe Lightroom editing and got a better understanding on presets and brushes. I was also was able to work with her younger clients giving me a new aspect and look on photography. An amazing well know upstate New York photographer I was able to intern with coming to the end of my senior year of high school was Heather Lasky owner of Brunette Black & White Photography I have been able to work behind the scenes of advertisement shoots, family holiday shoots, mini sessions, and bigger intensive sessions like engagement and wedding events. Working with Heather I was introduced to working with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite on an individually built PC up to her requirements to meet her needs. Doing this was a game changer because all the short keys were slightly different but getting the hands-on experience of working with a clientele basis like Heathers was stressful but real life experience of how busy the field can be when you make a name or yourself. One photographer who has trained me and taught me photography has really come a long way within the eyes of Adobe starting with the original Apple software Aperture and gaining knowledge and the efficiency then switches to Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Andy Huth has plenty of wisdom, knowledge, and skill to prepare people like myself to thrive in the photography and graphic design field. With the help of these individuals I have learned and grasped so many new concepts, techniques, and methods I utilize to this day.

This blog post is about time management and as you all can see this blog post is a little late. Time management is something I struggle with a lot, I started this semester at 19 credit hours and had a full-time and was very overwhelming for me as it would be many others. I recently dropped 3D Design to give me more time on Mondays and Wednesdays to work on school work and collaborate with my teams for group projects and continuously stay in touch with my coworkers, team leader, and manager from the US and Canadian Branch for T-Base Communications.

Two areas of strength I strive in are normally creativity and work flow efficiency. Two areas I can improve in are turn around time for clients and utilizing peer review and critique. When it comes to creativity I can look through the viewfinder of a DSLR and navigate my way to getting pretty much a “prefect print” raw then when adding work flow efficiency I can apply post production edits and fixes in a timely and effective manner by knowing how to put Adobe’s Creative Cloud Software to use. When it comes to peer review and critiques I have a lack of effort when it comes to communicating. As of right now I also have a lack of turn around time when it comes to the client because of school and my full-time job but normally my sessions do not cost money if they book in advance because of my current schedule. But based on my meeting with Professor Mahoney on my work I will be seeking out Professor Kie to help organize and “album-ize” my portfolio based on strengths and weaknesses.
